Winery

The rural make up Ventura County is emplified at Rancho Ventavo Cellars. Unlike most wineries, our family home and winery is set among avocado and lemon orchards high above the valley floor where lemons, avocados and row crops such as cilantro, celery, kale, onions, radishes, etc., are being planted/harvested 365 days a year.

Ventura County only has a handful of wineries with tasting rooms, but those we do have, are wonderful. Come spend a day, create a memory, and enjoy this wonderful area. Besides wine tasting there are numerous fresh produce facilities, farmers markets, beach communities, historic buildings and towns, island cruises and even train rides through the orange and avocado orchards – there’s lots to do here. And best of all Ventura County is conveniently located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. Why travel farther than you have to to enjoy wine tasting???

While here, please make plans to spend some time at Rancho Ventavo Cellars.  We have just purchased an historic home in Heritage Square, Oxnard for our tasting room.  We are anticipating the tasting room to open in the February/March 2009 time frame.  Until then we do offer wine tasting by appointment at the winery. Our winery is conveniently located 3 miles west of Moorpark, the scenic drive to the winery will offer you a vista of the Las Posas Valley and Sepepe Mountain Range. After your arrival at the family ranch, one of us will offer you to a leisurely wine tasting experience.
