2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

From Paso Robles our 2005 vintage reflects the desires and personality of the winemaker while still presenting the familiar flavors that express the typical character of the variety. To bring the alcohol level down in this wine, we created a blend from our two Paso Robles vineyard sources. The grapes were ripe when harvested, barrel aged in american oak for 23 months creating layers of complexity resulting in the strong fruit flavors of black cherries and plum, while touches of earth tones and leather nestle themselves among the fruit. This wine is still young and can be enjoyed now, but will age well and be truly exceptional.
